About the role
The Department of Statistics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) of Harvard University seeks to appoint a tenure-track professor in Statistics in the area of statistics and AI, with an expected start date of July 1, 2027. The position focuses on research that advances the interface of statistics and AI, from foundational and methodological developments to integrated approaches to trustworthy AI‑enabled discovery. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In Harvard’s FAS, tenure‑track positions are untenured. Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in statistics and AI, publish results, and pursue external funding.

Pay
The position offers a salary range of $110,000 – $165,000 per annum.
