Tenure-Track or Clinical Track Open Rank Professor in Veterinary Neurologist
About the role
The Neurology and Neurosurgery Service at the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a third neurology faculty member to continue to develop and grow the service. The service is committed to providing excellent clinical service, teaching, and research opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent clinical service and clinical and didactic teaching of professional students, residents, and interns.
- Enjoy a large and varied caseload in the small animal clinic with consultations throughout the hospital.
- Collaborate with clinical and basic science researchers within the college and university.
Requirements
- Must have a DVM degree or equivalent and have completed or currently completing a residency program in Neurology.
- Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN), or credentials acceptable by ACVIM or ECVN for board eligibility, is required.
- Strong team player with interest in developing productive research, service, and/or teaching programs.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in veterinary medicine or equivalent.
- Completion or current completion of a residency program in Neurology.
- Board certification in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN).

Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $145,000 to $180,000.

- Eligible for sponsorship for work authorization, except for sponsorship of a new H1B petition that would incur the $100,000 fee.
Pay
The budgeted salary range for this position is $145,000 to $180,000. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable positions.
