About the Role
The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and be ABIM board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or its specialties.
Responsibilities
- Teaching students, residents, and/or fellows while engaged in clinical activities or serving as lecturer for divisional and/or school educational programs.
- Clinical duties in outpatient clinics and as an attending on the inpatient service within the hospitals at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and/or Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMC VAMC).
- Research or scholarship in any aspect of basic science, clinical, translational, health policy, or health services research.
- Establish an innovative, independent research program that attracts and maintains extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations, and/or industry.
Qualifications
- M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- ABIM board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or its specialties.
- Productive track record during post-doctoral research training with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary science.
