The School Of Information Sciences (iSchool) At The University Of Illinois Invites Applications For a Full-time, Tenure-track Faculty Position At All Ranks (Assistant, Associate Or Full Professor).

Responsibilities

We Especially Welcome Applications In The Broad Areas Of Inclusive Design, Accessible Technology And Ability-based Design For, With, And By People With Disabilities. Disabilities Include Different Kinds Of Impairments Such As Sensory, Physical, Or Cognitive, That May Be Permanent, Progressive (e.g., Due To Aging Or Illness), Temporary, Or Situational.

Research Topics

• Participatory design, co-design, action research or other research methods directly involving people with disabilities
• Inclusive design and research that would lead to direct impacts for the targeted communities of disabilities
• Information behavior of people with disabilities
• Accessibility related adoption, learning and use especially in the context of Virtual/Mixed/Extended/Augmented Reality and Games
• Critical approaches to technology design with and by people with disabilities
