About the role
The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Associate/Full Professor in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery.
Responsibilities
- Teaching and clinical service in the Food Animal (FA) Clinic of the Veterinary Medical Hospital
- Training of residents and interns
- Clinical research
- Didactic lectures and laboratory instruction for veterinary students
- Primary to tertiary care within the Food Animal Section of the Large Animal Hospital
- Participation in the food animal ambulatory service
Requirements
- D.V.M. Equivalent veterinary medicine degree (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- At least six years of experience post residency training is desirable
- A graduate degree (MSc or PhD) is desirable
- Interest and clinical experience in routine food animal theriogenology is desirable
- Certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM LAIM), American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), or American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP)
- Candidates qualified to take the ACVIM, ACVS, or ABVP certification examination are encouraged to apply
- Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required
- Candidates certified by comparable EBVS recognized Colleges are encouraged to apply
