About the role
The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences (VIBS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) at Texas A&M University (TAMU) seeks a tenure-track faculty member in reproductive biology and pregnancy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain a vigorous extramurally funded research program
- Supervise graduate students in the Physiology and Developmental Biology track within the Biomedical Sciences graduate program
- Teach one or more graduate level courses in keeping with the candidate's interests and departmental needs
- Engage in activities outside the fields of teaching and research as part of the department's service expectations
Requirements
- PhD degree in biological sciences
- Track record of research excellence in the field of reproductive biology and pregnancy
- Strong potential for obtaining competitive extramural funding to support research (Assistant Professor)
- Established, extramurally funded research program (Associate Professor)
- Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications
- Evidence of potential for teaching and mentorship
Qualifications
- Applicants must have a PhD degree in biological sciences
- Research excellence in reproductive biology and pregnancy
- Extramural funding potential for Assistant Professor
- Established research program for Associate Professor
- Peer-reviewed publications and teaching/mentorship potential
