Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Information Technology
Responsibilities
The standard teaching load for this position will be 24 undergraduate hours per academic year of Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, and Management Information Systems courses. Candidates should be able to teach in a variety of formats, such as Traditional, Online, FLEX, Hybrid, ZOOM, and ITV. Additional duties will include: active participation in service, scholarship, and required university, school, and department functions; mentoring undergraduate students in research; advising students; participating in program assessment; online course development; participating in recruiting and retention efforts; participating in departmental governance; and other duties as assigned and outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Prioritization of candidates with expertise in emerging and growing computing areas, such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics, and Cloud Computing.
- Demonstrated experience teaching at the college level.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching to 1st generation and non-traditional students at college level.
- Ability to work collegially in a team environment.
Schedule
This position will begin in August 2026 and is a full-time, ten-month faculty position.
Pay
SALARY RANGE: $65,000.00 per academic year.
