Tenure Track Assistant Professor, Law
About the role
The Law Department at Bentley University is seeking a tenure track, full-time Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2027. Courses typically cap at 35 students and cover business law, health law, securities law, and social justice law.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate business law classes and potentially a graduate course in law, ethics, and social responsibility.
- Add to strengths in Health Law, Securities Law, and social justice law courses.
- Engage in scholarship publishing in respected academic journals.
- Participate in department and university service.
- Work with students outside the classroom in various capacities such as advising, guest speaking, and service learning.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (JD)
- Demonstrated potential for excellent teaching
- Promise of producing high-quality and impactful scholarship
- Willingness to engage with students outside the classroom
- Experience teaching undergraduate law courses within a business program/curriculum
- Proven ability to publish in law reviews
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Brightspace and Zoom or willingness to learn
Skills
Ability to teach in Health Law, Securities Law, and social justice law courses.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $111,666 - $151,078, depending on rank, qualifications, and experience.
