About the role
TGA Premier Sports in Bergen County is seeking responsible individuals who are passionate about teaching tennis to kids ages 5-14. Using youth sports as a vehicle, TGA incorporates education, character development, and proper etiquette in a fun and safe environment at schools or community locations. Coaches can work 1-7 days per week, with 2-5 hours per day during the school year and up to 6+ hours during the summer. Both lead and assistant coaches are needed, and training on the TGA curriculum is provided—extensive coaching experience is not required.
Programs run year-round, and schedules are flexible to accommodate coaches. We aim to assign locations close to where you live, with travel compensation provided for drives over 10 miles. We are hiring 5-10 coaches for the fall season.
Responsibilities
- Teach tennis skills to children in a fun, engaging, and safe manner
- Incorporate education, character development, and etiquette into coaching sessions
- Communicate effectively with kids and parents
- Commit to at least one full session (by season)
- Maintain high energy, flexibility, punctuality, and creativity
Requirements
- Available during after-school hours (2:30 PM and later)
- Reliable source of transportation
- Ability to step out of your comfort zone and engage with kids
- Passion for working with kids and coaching sports
- Clean background check
- High energy, flexible schedule, punctual, and creative
- Must be at least 16 years of age

Schedule
