Tennis Coach
About the role
TGA Premier Sports in Northern Westchester is seeking responsible individuals who are passionate about teaching tennis to kids ages 5-14. Using youth sports as a vehicle, coaches teach skills while incorporating education, character development, and proper etiquette in schools and community settings. Fun and safety are top priorities.
Coaches can work 1 to 7 days per week, with 2-5 hours per day during the school year and up to 6+ hours during the summer. Both lead and assistant coaches are needed. Extensive coaching experience is not required, as TGA provides training on its curriculum.
Programs run year-round, and schedules are flexible to accommodate coaches. Locations are throughout Northern Westchester, with efforts made to schedule coaches close to their starting point. Travel compensation is provided for drives over 10 miles.
Responsibilities
- Teach tennis skills to children ages 5-14
- Incorporate education, character development, and etiquette into lessons
- Prioritize fun and safety in all activities
- Communicate effectively with kids and parents
- Commit to at least one full session (by season)
Requirements
- Available during after-school hours (2:30 PM and later)
- Reliable source of transportation
- Ability to engage with kids and step out of your comfort zone
- Passion for working with kids and coaching sports
- Clean background check
- High energy, flexible schedule, punctual, passionate, and creative
- Must be at least 16 years of age

Schedule
Part-time, flexible hours ranging from 1 to 7 days per week. School-year shifts are 2-5 hours per day, while summer shifts can extend to 6+ hours per day.
