About the role

This position is responsible for the maintenance and leading others in the maintenance of park facilities, including buildings, structures, and grounds, of considerable difficulty.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire staff to fill vacant positions.
• Provide supervision, including performance planning, scheduling, job assignments, and daily guidance, to full-time and part-time maintenance employees.
• Perform grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, debris removal, and maintaining trails and public use areas.
• Operate and utilize a variety of equipment, including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, tractors, and assorted hand tools.
• Inspect Park facilities and grounds and correct safety hazards to maintain a safe environment for park visitors.
• Follow Park plans for preventative maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds to keep them in an acceptable state of repair.
• Follow the manufacturer's recommended schedule of preventative maintenance on all equipment (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units; lawn mowers, heavy equipment; fleet vehicles; washers, dryers, etc.).
• Maintain work orders in NexGen software and basic records related to maintenance activities, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience equivalent to four years of increasingly responsible and skilled full-time labor and trades experience.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.

Pay

Monthly salary: $3,631.00; Annual salary: $43,572.00.
