Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance and support to both central office staff as well as field staff. This is an "on call" per diem position without benefits and with a restriction of less than 30 hours a week. Individuals must be tenants of CHA or hold section 8 vouchers through CHA. Individuals could perform moderate complex clerical work, involving a variety of clerical tasks such as: typing, filing and answering telephones as well as various site related duties as noted below.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office). Ability to speak another language other than English is a plus.
Duties
• Types materials and correspondence from rough copy
• Maintains filing system
• Answers phones and helps to answer general inquires on matters relating to the department or housing development
• Operates a variety of office machines such as computer, typewriter, calculator, photocopier, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Flyer Delivery – Delivers flyers/notices to residents as directed
• Elevator Assistance - Give assistance to residents when elevators are out of service - Must be able to make multiple trips up flights of stairs.
• Escort - Provide escort for unit inspectors and monitor activity
• Packing Assistant - Assist residents with packing to move. This task would require the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Measuring Assistant - Provide assistance to project managers by taking notes and holding tape measure.
• Open and close community room for meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to maintain a stationary position, operate computers and other office equipment, move about the office, attend onsite and offsite meetings, and communicate. The employee must be able to accurately exchange information in person, in writing and via e-mail and telephone. The employee must occasionally transport up to 10 pounds and walk up flights of stairs.

Per-diem, hours vary.
