Tenant Assistant, 3rd shift

About the Role

The Assisted Living (AL) Resident/Tenant Assistant provides nursing and personal care to residents under the supervision of the Wellness Director, ensuring their health, safety, and welfare in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, restorative nursing procedures, and retraining.
• Report and record changes in resident conditions (e.g., eating habits, behavior, temperature).
• Ensure the well-being and nursing care of assigned residents while on duty.
• Maintain cleanliness of residents’ living areas, including beds, dressers, bathrooms, and general spaces.
• Keep work areas free of hazards (e.g., spills, excess supplies) and properly store equipment.
• Uphold resident confidentiality and respect personal and property rights.
• Follow individual Service Plans and facility policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to work independently.
• Free from communicable diseases/Tuberculosis.
• Proof of CPR certification or willingness to obtain it before working independently.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and agencies.
• Willingness to collaborate with professional and non-professional staff.
• Commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary resident care areas and equipment.
