    About the role

We’re looking for a Site Supervisor to help us live our mission to prepare people with recent criminal convictions for securing employment each year. Site Supervisors support, supervise, and train work crews of 5‑10 individuals, creating an uplifting work environment that ensures team member safety, providing on‑the‑job coaching, encouraging and empowering team members to seize each opportunity for building knowledge and skills, and balancing engagement and accountability across the crew. This role is perfect for you if you enjoy a non‑traditional workspace, like being on your feet, and love being outdoors. Ideally, you have experience teaching, coaching, mentoring or motivating youth or groups of adults as we know you’ll be able to make a real impact in our participants’ lives. You’ll help create greater stability for our participants as they get back on their feet.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a work crew in public beautification projects: litter abatement, landscaping, and sometimes other projects.
    • Comply with company time and attendance (T&A) processes, which includes ensuring that participants accurately record their work time, ensuring that participants receive any required rest breaks and meal periods, and timely reviewing and approving participant time records on a daily basis.
    • Ensure customers’ work orders are completed to a high standard on a daily basis.
    • Establish and maintain positive staff morale through modeling sound leadership and teamwork.
    • Assign job duties to crew members and set reasonable goals for completion.
    • Monitor crew members on job performance and productivity, providing appropriate feedback and/or additional training as needed.
    • Maintain line of sight of all participants.
    • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations and by reporting any matters that threaten the smooth operation of the training crew to your supervisor.
    • Complete any necessary daily reporting tasks.
    • Perform special projects and related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

Strong organizational skills with the ability to delegate, prioritize, and manage team time effectively to meet project deadlines; ability to operate under pressure with ease.

Pride in communicating and resolving conflicts effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds and experiences; value continuous communication, looping others into project status and any arising challenges.

Proven track record of leading teams to achieve success.

Enjoy supporting others to solve routine challenges; personally mechanically inclined, able to diagnose issues with equipment and propose solutions.

Deep passion for and commitment to social justice.

Respectful, fair, and patient; belief in hard work, efficient and friendly customer service, and teamwork and collaboration to drive results.

Exercise compassion toward the team you’re leading while balancing this with a straightforward approach that ensures you meet the needs of your customers.

Foster strong team spirit and enjoy providing 1:1 support to team members who may need a little extra encouragement.

Alternatively could be a list. But we can keep as

    each.

    Qualifications

    • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
    • Ability to consistently lift and move objects up to 75 pounds; stand, kneel, bend, and climb to complete projects; work outdoors; walk or stand for long periods of time; drive a 12‑passenger van with an attached trailer; operate a smartphone.
    • Previous safety training preferable, though training will be provided to hired candidate.

    Skills

While not exhaustive, the role benefits from:

    • Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring or motivating youth or groups of adults.
    • Mechanical inclination and ability to diagnose equipment issues.
    • Strong leadership and teamwork modeling.
    • Commitment to social justice and compassionate yet straightforward management style.
But we may have overlapped with Requirements. Might be better to combine skills into Requirements and not have separate Skills. However instructions: we can include Skills section only if posting has real specific content for it. The posting does mention "Ideally, you have experience teaching, coaching, mentoring or motivating youth or groups of adults" and "personally you’re mechanically inclined". Those could be considered skills. So we can keep Skills. But we need to avoid duplication. Ensure we don't repeat same content in multiple sections. Let's check: - Requirements we listed includes strong organizational skills, communication, conflict resolution, leading teams, supporting others, mechanically inclined, passion for social justice, respectful/fair/patient, belief in hard work, compassion, fostering team spirit, 1:1 support. - Skills we could list: experience teaching/coaching/mentoring/motivating youth or adults; mechanical inclination; leadership/teamwork modeling; commitment to social justice and compassionate management. But many overlap. Perhaps better to treat Requirements as the qualifications (driver's license, physical ability) and Skills as the soft skills/organizational traits. Let's re-evaluate. The posting has: - "Who You Are" list: strong organizational skills, delegate, prioritize, manage team time; operate under pressure; communicate and resolve conflicts; value continuous communication; proven track record of leading teams; enjoy supporting others to solve routine challenges; personally mechanically inclined; deeply passionate about and committed to social justice; respectful, fair, and patient; believe in hard work, efficient and friendly customer service, and teamwork and collaboration; exercise compassion toward the team while balancing straightforward approach; foster strong team spirit and enjoy providing 1:1 support. That's a set of personal attributes/skills. - "The Nitty Gritty Qualifications": driver's license, physical abilities, previous safety training preferable. Thus we can map: Requirements: The Nitty Gritty Qualifications (mandatory). Skills: Who You Are (soft skills). That seems logical. Thus:

    Requirements

    • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
    • Ability to consistently lift and move objects up to 75 pounds; stand, kneel, bend, and climb to complete projects; work outdoors; walk or stand for long periods of time; drive a 12‑passenger van with an attached trailer; operate a smartphone.
    • Previous safety training preferable, though training will be provided to hired candidate.

    Skills

    • Strong organizational skills with ability to delegate, prioritize, and manage team time effectively to meet project deadlines; ability to operate under pressure with ease.
    • Pride in communicating and resolving conflicts effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds and experiences; value continuous communication, looping others into project status and any arising challenges.
    • Proven track record of leading teams to achieve success.

    • Foster strong team spirit and enjoy providing 1:1 support to team members
