Temporary Welder

Temporary part-time position at the Idabel lumber mill, with weekend work up to 30 hours per week.

About the role

We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.

Responsibilities

• Metal fabrication and structural welding
• Observe all safety rules and regulations
• Perform essential job functions, including:
  • Climbing stairs and ladders
  • Navigating catwalks
  • Lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs
  • Stooping and bending
  • Using aerial work platforms, fork trucks, and manlifts at all heights and locations
  • Working in extreme temperatures (heat and cold) throughout the plant
• Fit test and wear a respirator as required
• Proficient use of cutting tools (torches, metabos, etc.)
• Basic computer experience

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Stable employment history with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in Industrial Mechanical work
• Willingness and ability to work weekends as operating conditions require
• Ability to successfully pass a structural welding test
• Successful completion of post-offer background check, physical, and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical school certificate
• Experience with SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Knowledge of fire protection systems

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $22.00 – $29.00 an hour based on experience.
