About the role
The Turn Help role is a temporary position at Asset Living, a third-party management firm dedicated to fostering thriving communities. Asset Living, founded in 1986, is a trusted partner in real estate, known for its commitment to innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
- Responsible for cleaning, trash removal, and general maintenance of grounds and residential areas, including make-ready units and common areas.
- Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner.
- Ensure all repairs and replacements necessary for community common areas and units.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program that extends the life of the community while minimizing future repairs.
- Understand and follow Asset Living key policies.
- Maintain a well-organized and adequately stocked maintenance shop while adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
- Aid the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the hazard communications program; teach and promote safe work practices.
- Report any observed violations of community rules and regulations to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager.
- Utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies economically.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities requested by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Manage excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness.
- Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition.
- Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters.
- Enforce policies of the community that the immediate supervisor delegates.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools, and the like.
- Communicate with others to exchange information.
- Repeat motions that may include wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Operate machinery and power tools.
- Operate motor vehicles and/or golf carts.
- Assess the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Be able to work overtime, weekends, and night hours (emergencies).
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Work in extremely low or high temperatures.
- Traverse flat and non-flat terrain.
Qualifications
- Education/experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Pay
$14 per hour to $20 per hour.
