Temporary Truck Driver - Class A or B CDL

About the Role

Our Truck Drivers represent Helena professionally while delivering materials and providing excellent customer service. You’ll be home daily, and your benefits start on your first day.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading trailer with materials
• Unload trailer using forklift or hand truck
• Transport loads over required routes to proper destinations
• Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures
• Return completed paperwork to the shipping office
• Remove empty skids from trailer and carry them to designated piling area
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks (oil, water, gasoline, tire air)
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL required
• Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Tanker endorsement preferred
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English required
• Spanish communication skills are a valuable asset
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required to drive a company vehicle
• Must meet all company requirements to drive a Helena vehicle
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check required

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Warehouse/outdoor environment with moderate to loud noise levels
• Exposure to outdoor elements in all weather conditions
• Regular work around moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, biological hazards, vibrations, and electrical shock risks
• Frequent standing (8+ hours/day), walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling (up to 50+ lbs)
• Overhead reaching (up to 25 lbs), climbing, gripping, grasping, twisting, bending, and stooping for extended periods
• Occasional work below knee level or above shoulder level
