About the Role
The Alam Lab is seeking a Temporary Technician to assist in the lab. This individual will perform routine scientific tasks under close supervision or from detailed and controlled lab procedures. Responsibilities include gathering scientific data, providing research data to investigators, organizing and maintaining records, performing routine analysis, and assisting with lab upkeep and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Perform Immunoblot, Protein expression & Purification, qPCR, and cell culture analysis
- Gather and provide scientific data to investigators
- Organize and maintain records according to established procedures
- Perform routine analysis and photocopying
- Handle phone calls and general lab upkeep duties
- Assist in monitoring, purchasing, organizing, and maintaining lab supplies
- Keep the lab clean and organized
Requirements
- Experience in Immunoblot, Protein expression, Purification, PCR, and cell culture
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or walk with light-weight objects
Pay
$14 - $17 per hour
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some weekends required
