Temporary | Student Center Retail Associate (Huddle C-Store)

About the role

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring for temporary/on‑call Retail Associates (2nd & 3rd shift) in the Campus Dining department. The UOES Division oversees event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations. Retail Associates provide excellent customer service, ensure a clean, fast‑friendly multi‑unit environment, assist with food preparation, stock and rotate inventory, operate POS equipment, follow brand standards, wash dishes, and maintain sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests and exceed expectations while working at a fast‑paced dining establishment
• Assist with preparation of food as needed
• Stock and rotation of food inventories
• Operate order and point of sale equipment
• Accurately follow the brand standards
• Wash dishes, and maintain a clean unit
• Perform all tasks relating to retail, safety and sanitation of food service facilities

Qualifications

• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
• Positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills
• Previous food service experience is preferred
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products

Schedule

• Available to work late night shifts (6 PM‑2 AM)
• Must be available to work Sundays
• Position is for 2nd & 3rd shift temporary/on‑call Retail Associates

Pay

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
