Temporary Research Technician I - Humphries Lab
Temporary position in the Humphries Lab focused on aging, cardiac muscle biology, and mitochondrial function using in vitro and in vivo mouse models.
Responsibilities
- Mammalian cell culture
- Western blotting
- Real-time PCR analysis
- Basic biochemical assays
- Immunohistochemistry
- Mouse work and PCR genotyping
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in biological sciences, physics, chemistry, or related field, or equivalent lab experience
- Familiarity with lab techniques
- Ability to coordinate day-to-day work and complete detailed tasks
- Basic knowledge of internet software, order processing systems, databases, and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 (preferred)
- Previous lab experience with rodents, especially mice (highly preferred)
- Previous experience with cell culture and Western blotting (preferred)
Schedule
Typically Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
