Temporary Research Technician I - Humphries Lab

Temporary position in the Humphries Lab focused on aging, cardiac muscle biology, and mitochondrial function using in vitro and in vivo mouse models.

Responsibilities

  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Western blotting
  • Real-time PCR analysis
  • Basic biochemical assays
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Mouse work and PCR genotyping

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in biological sciences, physics, chemistry, or related field, or equivalent lab experience
  • Familiarity with lab techniques
  • Ability to coordinate day-to-day work and complete detailed tasks
  • Basic knowledge of internet software, order processing systems, databases, and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 (preferred)
  • Previous lab experience with rodents, especially mice (highly preferred)
  • Previous experience with cell culture and Western blotting (preferred)

Schedule

Typically Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
