ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows up with supplier on past due purchase orders.
- Expedites parts that are critical for the operation.
- Contact suppliers to get tracking information on critical parts.
- Maintain constant contact with vendors to verify parts will arrive to our dock on time.
- Tracks shipments to our dock.
- Notify supervisor in a timely manner if a critical delivery is delayed.
- Informs pricing discrepancy to the buyer.
- Sure acknowledgments are received.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED Required
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
