About the role

Join our team as a Studio Camera Operator and play a vital role in bringing our newscasts and productions to life. Work with cutting-edge broadcast technology, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the high-quality content our viewers depend on every day.

Responsibilities

• Operate various broadcast equipment including studio television cameras during live and taped productions, teleprompter, character generators, graphics software, and computers.
• Act as floor director during live and taped productions.
• Assist in studio maintenance (cleaning, organization, possibly lighting).
• Assist as production grip on live and taped productions.
• Navigate the internet and post video and text to the station website.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Live newscast production experience a plus.
• Non-linear editing experience required; Final Cut Pro experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of television station production operation equipment.
• Working knowledge of studio cameras, teleprompters, and lighting.
• Must be reliable, dependable, possess a willingness to learn, and be able to work a flexible schedule.
