About the role
Ready to combine your technical skills with a civic purpose? Join Maricopa County Elections as a Temporary T-Tech! As a Temporary T-Tech, you are responsible for providing technical collaboration with our Poll Workers. You will provide troubleshooting efforts, equipment security, and retrieval activities. You may also be called upon to resolve technical conflicts at our polling sites, supporting our election activities before, during, and after the election cycle.
Responsibilities
- Supports troubleshooting efforts throughout the election cycle and equipment security and retrieval activities at the close of Election Day
- Travels throughout Maricopa County to perform laptop software, hardware installations, configurations, repairs, and ongoing support
- Works in collaboration with Poll Workers to set up Vote Centers and Polling Locations before opening for election activities
- Prepares and retrieves information and enters/updates information in reports, logs, or other documentation/record-keeping systems
- Carrries a 50lb backpack of materials for repairs throughout the assignment
- Analyzes programs to ensure prompt problem resolution and ticket closure
- Aids other divisions of Elections with their daily functions and activities
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
- May require the use of a personal vehicle, which would require a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and attendance in Maricopa County’s Defensive Driving Course
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
- Must pass an applicable background screening
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary
Qualifications
- One or more years of professional driving experience
- One or more years of general office experience
- One or more years of warehouse experience
- One or more years of computer experience or information technology
- One or more years of customer support experience
- One or more years of election experience
Pay
Pay for this position is $20 hourly. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.
Schedule
Full-time/Temporary/Overtime/Holiday hours are mandatory during the election cycle.
