Responsibilities

  • Financial modeling using accounting and finance tools and methodologies related to tax credit transactions, many of which involve various federal and state tax incentive strategies.
  • Prepare, review and analyze financial projections including underwriting assumptions and deal structure relative to applicable industry standards.
  • Review and analyze the strengths/weaknesses of various partnership structuring options.
  • Review closing documentation (partnership agreements, loan agreements, assignments, regulatory agreements, etc.).
  • Help clients optimize the financial benefits and feasibility of real estate projects.
  • Aid clients with modeling the economic and tax components of transactions focusing on tracking and accounting for project operations and rate of return on investment.
  • Support various transactional or consulting services.
  • Support GPSA business development efforts by engaging with public networks to build and maintain relationships and cultivate business development opportunities at the federal, state, and/or local levels.
  • Support lead generation and sales pursuits, including support as a SME in developing responses to RFIs, RFPs, and other proposals responsive to public finance and sustainability BD efforts, under the direction of a Lead Pursuit Partner.
  • As needed, serve as a technical support or technical subject matter expert (SME) on engagement teams where support is needed in terms of project finance support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with financial modeling/financial analysis.
  • BS/BA degree in accounting, finance or economics or other analytical-focused majors.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into work products.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including use of VBA.
  • Strong communication skills, with proven ability to track manager feedback, optimize training and learning opportunities, proactively ask thoughtful questions, and coherently express complex concepts, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated strong writing skills and the ability to develop narrative and summary format reports for client deliverables.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Drive to meet deadlines in a fast-paced culture.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Experience with partnership tax concepts is a plus.
  • Prior management consulting experience in a federal sales environment is a plus.

Pay

The hourly rate for a Project Finance & Consulting Senior Associate is $50 an hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.

Schedule

This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.
