Temporary Part-Time Residential Counselor

About the role

The Residential Counselor will provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them live independently within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily living activities
• Assist with personal care needs
• Facilitate social interactions and community integration
• Maintain a safe and nurturing living environment
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a residential setting
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and support strategies
• Committed to promoting inclusion and accessibility

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$25.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time, temporary position

Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the residents

Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Evenings and weekends may be required based on resident needs
