Temporary - Open Gym Supervisor

Montgomery College, Germantown Campus, is seeking candidates for a Temporary Open Gym Supervisor in the Department of Health Enhancement, Exercise Science and Physical Education.

Schedule

• 10 hours per week
• Monday – Thursday, 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Flexible to accommodate department needs

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during designated Open Gym hours
• Enforce rules and regulations of the Open Gym program
• Complete and maintain accurate records for the program
• Effectively communicate and work with all faculty, staff, and students
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Any combination of education, training, and experience providing understanding of the field and ability to perform the duties of the job
• Fitness Certification from an NCCA accredited organization such as:
  • American College of Sports Medicine
  • American Council on Exercise
  • The Cooper Institute
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association
• CPR/AED certification
• Experience in fitness instruction (group and/or individual)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship
• Successful completion of a fingerprint/background screening at the time of hire
• For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service

Pay

$25.00 per hour
