Temporary Trainer

About the role

This is a short-term contract Temporary Trainer position with a possibility of extension. This is a W-2, salaried position with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group EHR training sessions
• Tailor training approaches for clinical, administrative, and technical audiences
• Provide hands-on instruction in both classroom and live patient care settings
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the organization’s EHR system
• Collaborate with IT and EHR Specialists to identify and address user issues or system changes
• Maintain an ongoing feedback loop program to gather and address user feedback on training
• Work closely with instructional designers to create engaging, competency-based, and instructionally sound education materials
• Provide one-on-one coaching and refresher training as needed
• Assess user needs and identify training gaps or opportunities for process improvements
• Work with leadership to align training content with compliance, regulatory, and organizational goals
• Understand and apply adult learning theories to the development of storyboards for videos and eLearning content
• Ensure all EHR use is compliant with HIPAA and other applicable regulations
• Maintain detailed records of training attendance, completion, and effectiveness

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience training users on EHR systems in a healthcare setting
• Proficient in Patient Accounting/Registration/Scheduling, Charge Services, ED and Provider Training
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Education, or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency preferred: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Articulate 360, Captivate, Dragon, Snip & Sketch, Snipping Tool, Storyline, and various LMS
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare documentation requirements
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt training style to different learning preferences and skill levels
