Nebraska Game & Parks is seeking physically driven and quality motivated individuals to join our Operations and Construction crew. If you love working in the great outdoors, and take pride in the work that that you do, then come with work with our team to make our Nebraska Game and Parks better for everyone to enjoy. As a teammate you will get the opportunity to travel to many of our beautiful State Recreation and Wildlife Management Areas, all while working on projects like constructing new facilities or repairing existing amenities.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: No specific education, training, or experience is required for entry to this class.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General knowledge of building construction and/or maintenance practices
- The ability to use hand and power tools related to the construction field
- Able to communicate effectively
- Understand and follow directions
- Read and comprehend blueprints
- Work in adverse weather conditions
- General computer skills.

- Normal regular scheduled work week: Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Pay
Nebraska Game & Parks pays $16.892 per hour.
Schedule
Scheduled work hours are 8am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday, but may be adjusted when needed or when traveling out-of-town to maximize work efficiency.
Qualifications
Examples of work might include:
- Remodeling of visitor cabins: Framing new walls, installing siding, shingling roofs, hanging drywall, building cabinets, and installing new windows & doors.
- Replacing or installing new concrete sidewalks, trails, and new ADA camping pads.
- Moving dirt to improve or correct drainage around cabins, campgrounds, and roadways.
