Temporary IT Technician

About the role

Brivo is seeking a Temporary IT Technician (6 month contract) for our Bethesda, Maryland location. The role involves coordinating, diagnosing, and troubleshooting incoming employee tickets, providing support services to employees with technical problems, and maintaining effective relationships with users.

Responsibilities

• Cook up and diagnose incoming employee tickets
• Provide support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services
• Support and maintain effective relationships with users
• Track inventory of all IT-related hardware and software
• Ensure performance security, and uptime of corporate network and systems, including firewall, spam filtering, e-mail, collaboration, VOIP, VPN
• Support of hosted/SaaS ERP, Voip, Email, File sharing, etc
• Communicate to management when IT requirements dictate new purchases
• Implement and maintain internal systems/applications
• Manage physical and logical access to facility systems and applications
• Manage wordpress

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience working with either fiber-based networking or managed services
• Working knowledge of wireless technology
• In depth knowledge of hardware and software
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering exemplary customer service
• Ability to take direction, working well with both in a team and alone
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm in a professional manner

Skills

• Working knowledge of network protocols, RF, routers, layer-2 switches, VPN, CWDM, HFC plant and delivery system, routing protocols and policies, Wi-Fi and VoIP platforms
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering exemplary customer service
• Ability to take direction, working well with both in a team and alone
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm in a professional manner
