About the role
Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full‑time IT Support Specialist for the Evanston campus (Department: Temp Center, Salary/Grade: TMP/01). The position is full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday in‑person, with an approximate start date ASAP and an end date of December 27, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide first‑level technical support for faculty, staff, and students.
- Troubleshoot Windows and macOS computers, software applications, printers, and basic classroom technology.
- Respond to service requests.
- Perform device setup and deployment.
- Assist with account and access issues.
- Document support activities.
- Escalate complex problems as needed.
Requirements
Strong customer service and communication skills, along with basic knowledge of desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and Microsoft 365, are required.
