Job Responsibilities
- Affords support to the department in executing various human resources programs, projects, and procedures.
- Serves as a liaison between the department and payroll to ensure proper administration of new hires, terminations, pay changes, and other related services.
- Maintains Human Resources Information System records and compiles reports as needed.
- Verifies 1-9 documentation and ensures compliance.
- Assists HR leaders with research and special projects.
- Manages company policies and procedures with assistance from HR Director and/or VP, of HR.
- Acts as the primary contact for the HR Team and performs customer service functions by addressing associate requests and questions.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Supports the onboarding process of new associates, including leading new hire orientation.
- Responsible for employee files, data retention, and maintenance of employee files.
- Acts as backup for various areas of HR as needed.
- Manages compliance reports and compliance education.
- Performs any range of special projects, tasks, and other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Show a strong understanding of general HR practices.
- Exhibit excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
- Be self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Be able to multi-task and possess exceptional follow-up skills.
- Have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Work well under pressure and maintain professionalism and tactfulness in tense situations.
- Provide objective recommendations for resolving issues.
- Retain highly confidential information and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- One to two years of human resources experience or well-developed administrative skills.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
- Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with associates.
- This is a full-time position with typically scheduled hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- May be required to work overtime as needed and approved by the supervisor.
- Consistent and regular attendance is required.
