About the Role
Atlantic Group is hiring a Temporary Fund Finance Manager for our client, a global alternative investment manager. This role supports a high-performing Fund Finance team responsible for private investment funds and separate accounts. Candidates with private equity fund accounting experience are highly preferred, with additional experience in private credit or asset-backed finance viewed as a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Fund Accounting: Maintain the books and records for private investment funds and separately managed accounts while ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Investment Accounting: Record and reconcile cash, investments, purchase and sale transactions, corporate actions, and other portfolio activity.
- Capital Activity: Prepare and review capital calls, investor distributions, partner allocations, management fee calculations, and complex waterfall calculations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, investor reporting packages, and partnership performance analyses.
- Reconciliations & Analysis: Perform detailed account reconciliations, investment analyses, month-end accruals, and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Audit & Fund Operations: Coordinate with auditors, custodians, fund administrators, and other external service providers while supporting ongoing fund operations and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of fund accounting, investment accounting, or Big Four public accounting experience supporting alternative investment funds.
- Experience with private equity fund accounting is required. Experience supporting private credit, asset-backed finance, or other alternative investment strategies is strongly preferred.
Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. Experience with SQL, Power BI, or similar reporting tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently in a deadline-driven environment, solve complex accounting issues, collaborate across teams, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
Pay
$75.00–$120.00/hour.
Schedule
Monday to Friday.
