Temporary Full-time Radiology Tech

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture as required for exam.
• Makes and administers IV contrast for procedures.
• Follows physician instructions, prepares radiography equipment, positions patients, and obtains optimal images for diagnosis.
• Communicates with and prepares patients, removing garments or jewelry that may interfere with the procedure and explaining the process.
• Positions patients properly to obtain x-rays.
• Sets the equipment to obtain the best density, detail, and contrast of the area being imaged.
• Takes preventative steps to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation.
• Reviews available lab results (BUN/Creatinine and/or GFR) to determine renal function.
