About the role
The Department of Criminal Justice Administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) is seeking highly qualified, motivated, and well-organized applicants for a temporary part-time teaching pool.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned upper division courses in the department’s curriculum.
- Serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level preferred.
- Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse backgrounds.
- A Master’s degree in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline preferred.
- A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience required for teaching upper-division core courses.

Employment Requirement
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
Salary and Benefits Information
Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 - $ 6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593 - $15,211
