Temporary Faculty - Legal Writing

About the role

The University of Idaho College of Law seeks a full-time, temporary faculty member for the 2026-27 academic year at the College of Law’s Moscow location. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching two sections of legal writing courses each semester: Legal Writing & Analysis in the fall and Written & Oral Advocacy in the spring.

Responsibilities

• Teach two sections of legal writing courses each semester
• Teaching experience or relevant experience preferred

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited school or the equivalent
• Post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching experience preferred

Qualifications

• Experience teaching legal writing

Skills

• Ability to teach legal writing courses

Benefits

• Exempt status
• Academic year contract basis

Pay

$87,000 or higher commensurate with experience

Schedule

Full-time, temporary faculty position for the 2026-27 academic year
