Job Summary
The Emergency Management Department is currently seeking a Temporary Emergency Management Assistant to join their team of professionals. Duties Include:
- Perform basic data entry and maintain electronic records and databases.
- File paper and electronic documents in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Aid with emergency preparedness outreach, events, and educational campaigns.
- Maintain emergency supply inventories and training resources.
- Aid with maintaining EOC supplies, documentation, and readiness.
- Aid with routine testing of emergency notification systems, including FIU Alert mechanisms, call boxes, VOIP phones, indoor and outdoor speakers, and other emergency communication equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Department of Emergency Management.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
