Temporary Electrician
Position Summary
Provide installation, alteration, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industries. Will be working with power generation and large area power distribution.
Essential Duties & Job Functions
- Responsible for installation and construction with some maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment
- Knowledge of the proper use of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in industrial plants
- Read and understand conduit drawings, schematics, drawings, and specifications
- Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction, including but not limited to: hydraulic/electric benders, knockout punch sets, cable puller, meggers, hi-pot equipment, volt meters, multi-testers, ammeter
- Able to set and coordinate over-current protective devices, size feeder circuits and basic understanding to work on systems across the island
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Journeyman Electrician's License
- Ability to perform associated mathematical calculations
- Knowledge of principles and practices of safety management
- Strong MS Office and other computer skills
- Knowledge of pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rules
- Ability to speak, write and read English
- Must have state drivers licenses and acceptable record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Candidates must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Salary
The salary offered will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law.
