About the role
The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) is where students discover connections and community. It is where students live, where they gather, where they improve themselves, each other, and their university. DASA is where students seek guidance and support, both in and outside of the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Provide interim coverage for the Counseling Center while multiple searches are being conducted.
- Handle a general case load which will need attention during staff transition.
- Offer coverage as case volume tends to increase during times of campus crisis/tragedy.
- Workload will be primarily individual counseling but may vary to include group or workshops and triage.
Requirements and Preferences
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
- Licensed in NC or ability to be supervised for license.
- Experience providing crisis intervention, triage, and care coordination to young adults.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated strength in clinical assessment (triage) skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a flexible yet highly organized working style.

Department Required Licenses or Certifications
- Appropriate licensure must be obtained/maintained according to North Carolina laws.
Other Work/Responsibilities
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM; Flexible/Hybrid schedule may be available based on dept needs.
- Valid NC Driver's License required.
