About the role

The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Superior Court Operations Division is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Assistant Clerk I for all Judicial Districts. This role encompasses a variety of duties including courtroom clerk, jury, caseflow, scheduling pre-trials, calendars, and other related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing court operations
• Handle jury management and scheduling
• Manage case flow and calendars
• Perform administrative support duties

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school, law school graduate, or licensed attorney admitted to practice law

Benefits

Attorneys and law school graduates receive a salary of $21.41 per hour, while law school students receive a salary of $19.10 per hour. Temporary Assistant Clerk I positions are full-time with up to 70 hours in a two-week pay period. Eligibility for group health insurance (medical and dental) is attained after working more than 60 days on a half-time schedule during 4 bi-weekly periods. Group term life insurance begins after six months of employment.

Attorneys and law school graduates - $21.41 per hour; Law school students - $19.10 per hour.

Temporary Assistant Clerk I is a full-time position of up to 70 hours in a two-week pay period.
