TEMPORARY ASSEMBLY OPERATOR II 3rd shift 10:00pm - 6:30am Monday - Friday

About the role

TE Connectivity’s Assembly Operator II is responsible for assembling and testing electronic and mechanical components in accordance with standardized work instructions, manufacturing drawings, and operating procedures. This role requires mandatory proficiency in soldering, exceptional hand-eye coordination, microscope operation skills, and unwavering reliability in a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality control procedures, identify mistakes in the assembly process and faulty components, and report problems
• Maintain equipment, perform housekeeping duties, and suggest ways to improve procedures
• Use available tools to connect parts, make components fit together, and align properly; complete work order documentation
• Operate and monitor automated technologies used in the assembly process

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience with soldering and assembly components (mandatory)

Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing drawings and S.O.Ps/OMS
• Comply with applicable quality assurance standards
• Experience working with small electronic components and fine assembly work
• Exceptional hand-eye coordination for precision assembly of electronic/mechanical components
• Proficient microscope operation skills for detailed inspection and assembly work
• Proven reliability with consistent attendance and performance standards
• Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) while maintaining focus and precision

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing soldering experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated track record of reliability and consistent performance
• Experience with quality control and inspection processes
• Familiarity with electronic components and circuit assembly

Compensation

Competitive base salary: $21 per hour (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith; TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
