About the role

TE Connectivity's Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling and testing electronic and mechanical components in accordance with standardized work instructions, manufacturing drawings, and operating procedures. This role requires mandatory proficiency in soldering, exceptional hand-eye coordination, microscope operation skills, and unwavering reliability in a precision manufacturing environment.

Schedule

This is a 2nd shift position but MUST be available to train on 2nd shift.
Hours are 2:15PM-12:45PM Monday-Thursday, Friday 2PM-6PM.

Responsibilities

  • Follow quality control procedures, look for mistakes in the assembly process and faulty components, and report problems.
  • Maintain equipment, perform housekeeping duties, and suggest ways to improve procedures.
  • Use available tools to connect parts, make components fit together, and align properly; complete work order documentation.
  • Operate and monitor automated technologies used in the assembly process.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated soldering experience - manufacturing soldering proficiency is REQUIRED.
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination for precision assembly of electronic/mechanical components.
  • Proficient microscope operation skills for detailed inspection and assembly work.
  • Proven reliability with consistent attendance and performance standards.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) while maintaining focus and precision.

Qualifications

Mandatory

Critical Skills (Non-Negotiable):

  • Demonstrated soldering experience - manufacturing soldering proficiency is REQUIRED.
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination for precision assembly of electronic/mechanical components.
  • Proficient microscope operation skills for detailed inspection and assembly work.
  • Proven reliability with consistent attendance and performance standards.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) while maintaining focus and precision.

Preferred

  • 2+ years of manufacturing soldering experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability and consistent performance.
  • Experience with quality control and inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with electronic components and circuit assembly.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) while maintaining focus and precision.

Pay

Competitive base salary: $21/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits.
