Assembly Operator II - 3rd Shift (Sun - Thur 10pm - 6am)

About the role

This position is responsible for setting up and running the extrusion machine and performing quality checks to verify that finished material complies with quality specifications. The role involves daily interfacing with the Planning/Scheduling team to forecast downstream product needs and regular communication with Maintenance and Engineering to address machine performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the extrusion machine.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure material meets specifications.
• Coordinate daily with the Planning/Scheduling team to forecast downstream product needs.
• Communicate with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve machine performance issues.

Requirements

• Experience with machine set‑up is highly preferred.
• Basic machine shop knowledge and ability (preferred but not required).
• Ability to utilize inspection equipment to measure products for conformance.
• Working knowledge of hand tools.
• Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 30 lb.
• Frequent extension of arms and hands between knees and shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.
• Frequent standing and walking required.
• Access to information subject to ITAR or EAR regulations; applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or refugees.

Compensation

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.00–$20.00 per hour, plus a 10 % shift differential for working the 2nd shift (subject to change based on location and candidate qualifications).
