Assembly Operator III - 3rd Shift (Sun - Thur, 10pm - 6am)

Job Overview

This position is responsible for setting up and running the extrusion machine and performing quality checks to verify finished material complies with quality specifications. The role involves daily interfacing with the Planning/Scheduling team to forecast downstream product needs and regular communication with Maintenance and Engineering to address machine performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the extrusion machine.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure finished material meets specifications.
• Interface daily with Planning/Scheduling to forecast downstream product requirements.
• Communicate with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve machine performance issues.

Requirements

• Experience with machine set‑up (highly preferred).
• Basic machine shop knowledge and ability (preferred but not required).
• Ability to utilize inspection equipment to measure product conformance.
• Working knowledge of hand tools.
• Experience with SAP (preferred but not required).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 30 lb.
• Frequent reaching between knees and shoulders; frequent hand grasping.
• Frequent standing and walking required.
• Eligibility to work with ITAR/EAR‑controlled information: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.

Compensation

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, plus a 10 % shift differential for 3rd‑shift work (subject to change based on location). Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits. Salary ranges are provided in good faith and may be adjusted based on candidate experience, qualifications, and internal/external equity.
