About the role
TE Connectivity's Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling and testing electronic and mechanical components in accordance with standardized work instructions, manufacturing drawings, and operating procedures. This role requires mandatory proficiency in soldering, exceptional hand-eye coordination, microscope operation skills, and unwavering reliability in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electronic and mechanical components per standardized work instructions and manufacturing drawings
- Follow quality control procedures to identify mistakes in the assembly process and faulty components, reporting problems as needed
- Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties; suggest ways to improve procedures
- Use available tools to connect parts, ensure proper fit and alignment, and complete work order documentation
- Operate and monitor automated technologies used in the assembly process
Requirements
- Critical Skills (Non-Negotiable):
- Demonstrated soldering experience – manufacturing soldering proficiency is required
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination for precision assembly of electronic/mechanical components
- Proficient microscope operation skills for detailed inspection and assembly work
- Proven reliability with consistent attendance and performance standards
- Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) while maintaining focus and precision
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of manufacturing soldering experience
- Demonstrated track record of reliability and consistent performance
- Experience with quality control and inspection processes
- Familiarity with electronic components and circuit assembly
Schedule
- 2nd shift position
- Mandatory availability to train on 2nd shift
- Hours: 2:15 PM – 12:45 PM Monday–Thursday; Friday 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay
Competitive base salary: $21 per hour (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith; TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, and internal/external equity.
