About the role
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a different type of field work, focused on reviewing drawings, verifying installations, and supporting system testing across mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing construction drawings and specifications
- Verifying that systems are installed by design and guidelines
- Observing and supporting testing and commissioning activities, providing observation reports and documentation and uploading them into a cloud-based software database
- Working with systems such as:
- Electrical systems & power distribution
- Emergency generators
- Piping, tanks, and pressure vessels
- Fuel oil and mechanical systems
- HVAC and cooling systems
- Coordinating with project teams, contractors, and engineers on-site
Requirements
- Strong inspection background with ability to read and interpret drawings/specs
- Experience working in industrial or construction environments
- Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Interest in learning system-level verification and commissioning processes
Benefits
- Paid 8 hours travel for each rotation
- If working 12 hours/day for 7 days, the 8th day is a mandatory paid fatigue day
- Per diem: $75/day (meals & incidentals)
- Employees will book their own flights, hotels, and rental cars and submit them for reimbursement
Schedule
- Currently 5x10s, ramping up to 6x10s or 6x12s
- Rotation: -2 weeks on / 1 week off OR can extend to a longer rotation schedule based on employees preference
Pay
- Paid 8 hours travel for each rotation
- Per diem: $75/day (meals & incidentals)
Location
- Project Locations: Ellendale, ND & Fargo, ND
Start Timing
- Targeting mid-May
Duration
- Contracted through the end of 2026 & into 1st quarter of 2027
