SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director’s office.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Typing, filing, follow-up assignments and telephone coverage for the office of the Executive Director (which includes the Executive Assistant and the newly created Fund Development Manager).
- Types letters, memorandums, reports, proposals, grants, Fair Hearing forms and other reporting data.
- Provides backup support to the Executive Assistant and primary support in the absence of the Executive Assistant in carrying out the overall responsibilities to the Executive Office.
- Aids in coordinating meetings for the Board of Directors and its various committees.
- Provides support and assistance to the Executive Office in the management of SCLARC/FOS Board of Directors and other Community Advisory Committees.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years of related experience and/or training including public contact; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
