Job Summary
The Parking and Transportation Department is currently seeking a Temporary Accounting Specialist to join their team of professionals.
Duties Include
- Assist in the reconciliation and the billing of financial activities for department.
- Compiles data, runs queries/reports, and prepares work papers to be used for account reconciliation.
- Identifies exceptions/errors and submit necessary corrections.
- Processing and maintaining files of assets acquired and disposed.
- Aid in market research for products and services requested by the department to maximize product utilization and performance of its operations.
- Collaborate in the preparation and review of internal processes in compliance with the university policies.
- Aid in the reconciliation of departmental credit card purchases and analyze the power spending by credit card holder.
- Aid in the Event and Transportation operations.
- Flexibility to work weekends.
- Perform essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.
- Perform other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of a specific duty does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's in business administration or accounting.
- Customer Service Experience.
- One (1) year of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of accounting/bookkeeping experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Work Schedule
8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Advertised Salary
$16.00 per hour.
