About the Role

Responsible for assisting the head women's basketball coach in implementing and directing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division II basketball program at Nova Southeastern University. This includes recruiting quality student-athletes, organizing and planning practices and game strategies, monitoring academics, scouting, coaching, scheduling, and planning team travel in compliance with University, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a comprehensive recruiting plan for the identification and recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
  • Schedule games, make transportation, and lodging arrangements for team travel.
  • Develop and implement plans and strategies for practices and competition.
  • Monitor academic progress of student-athletes.
  • Scout opponents and assist in coaching during games.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA Division II, conference, and University rules and regulations.

  • Effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work nights and weekends.
  • Understand and comply with NCAA Division II, conference, and University rules and regulations.
