Responsibilities

• Engage and connect with customers by providing the highest level of service to enhance guests experience.
• Provide rental guests with highest level of rental service.
• Multi-task and work in a busy environment.
• Strive to exceed daily and seasonal sales targets; use upselling and add-ons to increase sales.
• Maintain and stay up-to-date on product knowledge to provide exceptional guest service.
• Answer customer questions; provide detailed information including features and benefits of products.
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Know and enforce safety initiatives consistent with company guidelines.
• Support Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.
• Adhere to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures.
• Promote, support and understand all activities and events occurring on or off mountain.
• Operate POS systems proficiently.
• Provide a fun guest experience that exceeds members/guests’ expectations.
• Receive goods, tag, and transfer merchandise.
• Stock product and clean shelves, counters, floors, glass, and merchandise as needed.
• Refer customer problems and complaints to manager or another senior staff member if appropriate.
• Perform related tasks or special projects as assigned.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months minimum of retail experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn point of sale systems, inventory systems, basic accounting, Microsoft Office, and internet search engines.
• High attention to detail.
• Positive, energetic attitude and customer-focused.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify areas that may need improvement and initiative to seek solutions.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with team lifting.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Rarely exposed to outdoor weather conditions during job duties.
• Noise level is generally quiet.

Pay

Pay range $20 - $22 per hour (based on experience and other factors).
