Teller/Relationship Banker - Float

About the role

The Teller/Relationship Banker Float will support the credit union's needs by processing transactions, educating members on financial products, and maintaining relationships with members.

Responsibilities

  • Processes transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Updates account information and documents member interviews promptly, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Identifies opportunities to deepen member relationships by recommending products and services.
  • Educates members on the benefits of products and services.
  • Refers members to other credit union representatives as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to resolve member concerns.
  • Performs department-related support duties, including scanning, faxing, and working daily reports.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Up to six months of similar or related experience, including time spent in similar or preparatory positions.
  • A high school degree or GED.
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult member interactions.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to be bonded.
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in using calculators.
  • Ability to multitask and assist members with inquiries.
  • Possession of a Notary designation.

  • Must possess a high level of trust, credibility, and diplomacy.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay

Competitive base compensation with eligibility for performance-based incentives.

Schedule

This position will travel to Michigan branches for coverage/support as needed.
